Hello, I'm Oktia Puspita Sari with NPM (A1B021023), I wanna talking about one of the cultures in Indonesia is Ondel-ondel. Ondel-ondel is a very famous culture in Indonesia that comes from Betawi. What is ondel ondel? What is the history of Ondel-ondel  itself? Let's find out together. What is Ondel-ondel? Ondel-ondel is an inseparable part of Betawi culture, as well as being an icon of the city of Jakarta. Ondel-ondel is generally made of wood with the body part using dongdang, which is a type of chicken cage made of bamboo. What is history of Ondel-ondel? Historically, ondel-ondel is said to have existed before 1600 AD.This explanation was written by an English merchant named W. Scot in his travel book. In his notes, Scot admitted that he saw a unique culture in the form of a giant doll that was displayed by the Sunda Kelapa people in traditional ceremonies.  Although the name is not mentioned, the type is believed to be similar to ondel-ondel.
